U.S. Senate subcommittee begins hearings on the Boston Banks Urban Group program.

Headed by Philip A. Hart (D-Mich), the committee holds the first of three days of hearings in which it hears testimony on how the B-BURG program forced Jewish residents out of Mattapan and failed to support the African-American home buyers who moved in.
